Join Interfaith Council for Peace and Justice's Latin America Task Force on select Tuesday evenings from January to May to share a delicious dinner and view a free film pertaining to current Latin American topics. WHEN: January 22, February 12, March 12, April 9, May 14 - 6:30 pm dinner, 7:00 pm movie & discussion WHERE: St. Mary’s Student Parish, 331 Thompson St. Ann Arbor, MI 48104 DINNER OPTION: $8.00 Pilar’s Tamales Meal - Includes one Tamale with salsa, organic casamiento, fried plantains, and curtido (vegetarian option available) Please RSVP at least one day prior to the event to reserve your meal! Tuesday, January 22 - Lourdes (with special guest Director Anthony Collings) Lourdes follows Ann Arbor resident Lourdes Salazar Bautista in her efforts to keep her family together and demonstrates the consequences of her ultimate deportation. Tuesday, February 12 - They Are Killing Us They are Killing Us sheds light on the targeted killing of human rights defenders and social activists in the country of Colombia since the 2016 peace accords. Tuesday, March 12 -  Monseñor: The Last Journey of Óscar Romero Monseñor: The Last Journey of Óscar Romero follows the Archbishop's tireless work for El Salvador's people that earned him sainthood in 2018. Tuesday, April 9 - Special Circumstances Special Circumstances follows Hector Salgado as he confronts those who tortured and exiled him during the Pinochet dictatorship in Chile.  Tuesday, May 14 - Garifuna in Peril Garifuna in Peril explores the historical and contemporary struggle of the Garifuna Afro-Honduran indigenous community in Honduras and Belize.
