Event Description
Faced with conflicts at work or home? Wishing you had some skills to help address these instead of avoiding them? We are removing the obstacles, linking it to mead, and making it fun and affordable to be better prepared for conflict. What’s included? An hour and a half long professional session, where you will learn at least four relevant conversational conflict resolution (CCR) skills bridging personal and professional settings from Kai Stabell. Kai is an international conflict resolution professional, previously serving with the United Nations Development Programme all over the world, and now heading C4CCR - an advisory and training body that supports businesses, non-profit organizations, and NGOs as they navigate change and confront conflict. Plus, we are pairing a flight of mead (four different 4 oz pours) with the different elements of the session. Prefer to just have a pint of mead or a housemade soda called switchel? Lauren and Matt, owners of Blom Meadworks, are ready to pour to your tastes! BLOM is a BYOF (Bring Your Own Food) establishment. So don't be shy! Who's invited? This session is designed for mid to senior level managers who have may have responsibilities with internal and external constituents, and are frequently navigating conflict. This session will be ideal for individuals who are looking to develop conversational techniques for the simple and the complex scenarios. This event is provided in partnership with Engage and C4CCR. And sponsored by Ann Arbor SPARK. Membership with Engage is not required (but getting early access and a discount is nice, right?). As always, the conversations are likely to continue well beyond the scheduled session. Kai will be available for conversation afterwards and the taproom will be open for continued sipping!  Scholarships are available. Apply here.
